  • Much uncertainty remains about predicting risk and estimating impacts of wind energy development on wildlife.
     
  • Results of current and future research activities will directly impact future costs, siting recommendations, and survey protocols.
     
  • In Nebraska, a number of research projects looking at the potential impacts of wind energy developments on wildlife are in the planning and/or implementation phase. These projects are highlighted under the different species tabs.
     
  • Currently, there are several pre- and/or post-construction surveys being conducted throughout the state.
